Advanced Knee Care is now a division of Integrated Orthopedics. Doctors Gruber, Adams and Boyd and Physician Assistants Jeff Kiel and Brandon Hunter will be the providers of in network service for patients going forward.
Integrated Orthopedics will be the custodian of the medical records of all Advanced Knee Care patients.

Dr. Gruber's practice model is based on a one on one patient contact allowing time with patients as a function of the complexity of the problem leading to complete evaluations resulting in accurate diagnosis and ordering of only necessary tests. Health Care Laws, Insurance Carrier Directives and Hospital Mergers aim to provide high volume care by “Busy Doctors” (defined as Patients’ time with their doctors being decreased, time with PA’s and NP’s being increased) which will lead to increasing the probability of incomplete evaluations, more errors and misdiagnoses, more inappropriate treatment, more radiographs and lab tests. In addition, there will be less communication, less empathy and less understanding for the patient, and less compliance and adherence to the treatment by the patient). Patient dollars need to be spent on patient care, not on Administrative Fees such as Insurance Executive and Hospital Administrator compensation.

Same Day Surgical procedures at Ambulatory Surgery Centers
Surgical care delivery is evolving. Current concepts favor getting you home on the day of your joint replacement procedure (just like many other medical procedures) for your well being, your comfort, to improve your outcome, to speed your recovery, and to keep you in your normal life with as little interruption as possible. Having your procedure at an Ambulatory Surgery Center like SurgCenter of Greater Phoenix could lower your out of pocket expenses.
Patient options/choices are limited by Health Insurers.
Small clinics such as Advanced Knee Care are being excluded from Marketplace Health Plans, Narrow Network Plans, and HMO plans. Patients will still be able to choose their care provider by using out of network benefits. Often times out of pocket costs will be similar/matched.
